DigitalEve
United Kingdom
Our
chapter supports England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland.
Who
are the members of DigitalEve UK?
We're
webwriters, lawyers, techies, accountants, gamers, and designers.
We're a diverse group of women from all occupations, walks of life,
race and economic backgrounds. We share a common belief that we
can enrich our lives through computers, technology, new media and
the groups formed by them.
Projects
in development include:
Education projects: Affordable training on everything from computer
basics to business strategies, stress management and and server
maintenance. Building a mentor database and also in the process
of developing a members only digital magazine on the website.
Special project: Setting up a "time-bank" with the international
currency of time - as a database of people who can give ( services
/ advice, etc) and people who need the help, advice or training.
An hour of time = an hour of time. For example, I'll teach you how
to use SMS and you teach someone else how to hem trousers and someone
else teaches me to get paid on time.
