As for images, use the ALT tag to label images. This way text-only browsers, such as Lynx, and speech readers will be able to tell a user what the image is. Users who turn off graphics in their browser to quicken download time will also know what the image is.

Save your image with a filename telling what it is. Instead of saving it as img0087B.gif, save it as co_logo.gif.

Avoid using image maps. They're useless to text-only browsers, speech readers, and users who turn their graphics off.
