Susan has an extensive background
in marketing, product development and operations management, and has applied
her on- and off-line expertise to the fields of education, financial and
technical consumer products.
Before joining TMX, she held
the position of Vice President of Corporate Marketing at AroundCampus,
Inc., a leading provider of online and off-line marketing resources and
distribution channels for campus-area merchants. As the Vice President
of Product Development and Sales at Electric SchoolHouse, Inc., she oversaw
all aspects of product, content and technical development at the early-stage
Internet start-up, which offered an online community designed to connect
parents, children and teachers. Prior to that she was the Manager of Education
Sales and Marketing for Comcast Commercial Online, where she developed
cable modem products, programs and content for grades K-12, higher education
and libraries. While there, she also created the Comcast OnlineSchoolyard
education Web site, which garnered national media attention and won a
number of industry awards. Before Comcast, Murphy was responsible for
product development of Internet, PC and telephone banking applications
for Electronic Payment Services, Inc., a parent company of the MAC ATM
network.
Her project management, technical,
and strategy formulation skills were built on a six-year foundation of
service for a number of financial institutions including First Union,
Bank of America and the Student Loan Marketing Association. Murphy has
also taught undergraduate Operations Management at the University of Delaware.
She holds an M.B.A. from the University of Baltimore and a B.S. in Business
Administration from the University of Delaware.
Susan does volunteer marketing
and PR consulting and box office and ticket sales assistance for several
local theater and improv groups including Comedy Sportz and Lunch Lady
Doris.

Anne Cecil, Chapter
Co-Leader.
Anne is principal in her companies, SmartLynx
and MinervaMedia. The first
company offers Web site design, development and training for small businesses,
non-profits and the community, and the second company offers the same
services, however, they are specifically targeting the non-digital artist.
She has been a design educator since 1988 and currently teaches in the
Digital Arts and Multimedia Program at LaSalle University and in the Design
and Merchandising and Visual Studies Departments at Drexel University.
Anne is also a conceptual artist who masquerades as a variety of mythological
creatures.
Alexandra Buczek, Chapter
Co-Leader.
Alexandra is currently between gigs. Most recently she was the development
manager for a software product line, handling the core product line and
the newer international product. Previously she has project managed, both
in the publishing industry and in the software industry. For fun she likes
to travel, write and make odd pieces of art. Currently she is stuck on
the theme of making objects out of Altoid tins.
Karen Scanlon, Content.
Karen is currently an editor of Amersham Health, a UK pharmaceutical company
with U.S. operations headquartered in Princeton, NJ, and which specializes
in manufacturing contrast agents for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
Past experience include editing, writing and proofing, materials for on-line
and print publishers; most notably Microsoft, Dow Jones & Co., Inc. and
Harcourt Inc. When not trekking up to Princeton, Karen's interest include
yoga, nutrition and watching movies.
Michelle O'Toole, Web
site.
Michelle is a Freelance Web Designer/Developer www.michelleotoole.com.
She also co-owns a small business doing parties for girls called Pretty
Parties. She lives in the Suburbs of Philadelphia.
Lorraine Pasquali, List
Administrator.
Lorraine is the President/Founder of IMAGINESTATION
LLC, a Global Meeting Place for the Creative Community. Located in
the Lehigh Valley, she is an alumnus of Northampton Community College,
where she received certificates in Photography, Digital Photography, and
Computer Graphics. Lorraine has also earned a Business Basics Certificate
from the SBDC at Lehigh University.
Theta Pavis, Public
Relations.
Theta is a freelance writer and editor whose work appears regularly in
Wired News online and the Online Journalism Review. She is also the editor
and co-publisher of Technophilly.com,
an online magazine covering the technology scene in the Delaware Valley.
She produces a weekly technology segment for WHYY 91 FM radio and has
written for Discover, Digital Coast Reporter and Forbes ASAP. She has
worked at various newspapers in Pennsylvania and New York. She teaches
Digital Journalism at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She
received an M.S. from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism
in 1993.

Emily is the owner of Professional
Web Concepts, a Web site design, development and hosting firm in Bryn
Mawr.
Mary Scholl, Outreach
Liaison.
Mary is currently employed by CIGNA.
Vivian Strong, MAP Liaison.
Vivian is an accountant-turned-Web designer/developer. She is the owner
of Web Visions, a Web design/development/business
solutions provider, and works as community volunteering.
Heather Dougherty, College/University
Liaison.
Heather is a web designer currently working in Web Services at Vanguard
Group in Malvern, PA.Prior to that she worked for Global Sports Interactive
in King of Prussia, designing e-commerce sitesfor major sporting goods
retailers nationwide. Heather earned her B.F.A. in Graphic Design at Moore
College of Art & Design in Philadelphia. If you want to learn more about
